Finger Damage.
So this is what I did to my finger on Feb 12. Click for the set and you can see it's healed up pretty well so far. The fingernail is still probably a goner but also still holding on strong for now.# posted by DeeLoaf @ 10:12 AM

Ok so you want to know the gory details hehe.
Well I was volunteering at Whole Village and helping to split logs up. In the afternoon I was mainly concentrating on freeing up frozen-in-place logs and moving them closer where the log splitter was being used. I was getting pretty weak and tired late in the day but I was still enjoying helping out. So I was moving a heavy log from the pile and stacked it end-to-end on top of another larger log that was already by the machine. Then I tried to pick that log back up to place it on the machine but my "heave" was not matched by a sufficient "ho" (I was too weak by then and should have known it!) and it went right back down. With my finger in between the two logs. "Shit! Shit! Shit!". I'm glad it wasnt worse than it turned out to be, though I probably should'a went for some stitches.
