Getting rid of money

So I want to cut the use of money entirely out of my life. Well, at least, the use of fiat government moneys, like CDN, USD, etc., and the credit systems that go with them. Its all shit to me, and I hate using/looking at those awful interest bearing banknotes, the debts which finance their existence never possibly to be repaid fully with the interest charged, and all of us trying to work and pay off the debts until there is litereally no money left in circulation. And that when the collapse comes.

Anyways, I dont care about the impending collapse, actually its exciting for me because then I really will be able to cut these monies out of my life.

A good site with information about money past present and future is transaction.net, Bernard Lietaer's site.

I've got an alternate form of capitlism in mind, something with better information and fewer barriers. I'll try to update here when I get more thinking in about that system and have a chance to implement something.

TV Shows and BTEfnet

So everyone knows I download TV shows. Theres 2 big problems I have with TV in its regular form. 1) Appointments ... I'm not always around when my TV shows are. So I could set up a VCR but then I'd have to own a VCR. Or a DVR. Or a DVD recorder. I dont have that kind of cash.

2) Commercials. Even if I did have the equipment, I'd still have to waste time chopping out those annoying adverts that constantly interrupt the programming. I dont like the interruptions and the bombardment of poorly targeted commercial messages.

Downloaded TV shows can conveniently be downloaded whenever I feel like it, and the groups that release them kindly cut out the commercial interruptions. Can't beat that.

But, well the MPAA assholes think that its not ok to share recorded-commercial-removed TV shows and they're trying in vain to crack down on it. I found out after reading this, and of course after visiting my favorite TV episode download site btefnet.com only to find their website had been hijacked. Fortunately theres still IRC where you can find their releases (#bt on efnet, dont fuck with the ops). Then I found out that I could find everything I was looking for (2 recent eps of Daily Show, latest Apprentice and Survivor) all via isoHunt and so this assault by the MPAA didnt really seem to matter. It didnt make a difference at all. They have totally just made themselves look stupid, moreso. And encouraged me to keep up the copyfight. The future is ours.

Domes are cool and Bucky is cooler

So the sphere is the shape that encloses the most volume using the least amount of surface area. Cool. Cut one in half and you have a dome. I'd like to live in one, perhaps buried. Perhaps a concrete dome, or a geodesic dome. Not sure. But I like domes a lot and I made my first geodesic dome (2v Icosahedron hemisphere) using drinking straws i lifted from Wendy's and pins I bought in the dollar store. It holds together well and was an interesting experience.

Also, I'm reading Critical Path by Buckminster Fuller (Bucky) and it is so far a good read. I'll have to renew it before I can get through it though. Hey that rhymes.
