I must write about Marc Emery's arrest in Halifax. He has been arrested by RCMP members. At the same time he was arrested, his BCMP headquarters in Vancouver was raided. These arrests are the result of US interference in Canadian domestic matters, and Canada's willing co-operation, via a treaty called Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters (MLAT). Why is it that all of a sudden Canadian authorities are interested in stopping Emery seeds? He's been operating for a very very long time, all out in the open. It seems that it is purely American interests motivating this, and complicit parties within the Canadian power structure. I've never heard of this MLAT treaty before but apparently, given the seeming support it has by Canadian institutions, it means that Canada is no longer a sovereign nation. I've suspected Canada hasnt really been sovereign for a long time now. I'm no nationalist, but up until recently I've been consenting to governance and fully recognizing the sovereignty of Canada. It is now difficult to recognize Canada as a sovereign nation as she is not behaving as such. No, Canada is behaving as if she were America's little bitch to the north. If nothing is done about this situation, I.E., withdrawing from the MLAT which was SUPPOSED to be used only with the "war on terror", er, that is the "global struggle against violent extremism", or whatever the fuck they call their ideological crusade these days, then I will be forced to NOT recognize the sovereinty of Canada, cease reference to Canada as a Country and find a new term to describe the region in which I live. Right now given the current situation, "America's Bitch to the North (ABN)" seems a fitting name for this little non-autonomous region.

How can I assert my non-consent to be governed by both ABN and its parent organization, USA? Frankly I dont fucking know and I dont want to end up in gitmo simply because I'm a fucking autonomous human being who refuses to be governed by abstract nonsense.

I suppose this means war.

I'm about half done downloading it right now, but having to use azureus DHT because the tracker doesnt seem to be working. Pirate bay tracker not worky?? Maybe DDoS because of this leak? Or is that over the top? Hrmm.

Ok heres an update since its been a while. First off, no I didnt stop gawking at oil. It broke $60, then it hit $62.10 (intraday). So far, not higher. But oh so much is going on -- China's Unocal bid, chevrons upped ante. Looks like Unocal will go with Chevron just now but we wont really really know until Aug 10 (I believe that's a Unocal shareholder meeting). Oil's been down lately, around $58 mainly. Up and down with the fears of the market since theres just about no supply cusion.

Also, I've been trying to reach out a little more and make some friends since completing a couple of important books ('Ishmael' and 'My Ishmael' by Daniel Quinn). Those are good books, I suggest you read at least the first. Second adds more perspective and is just as hard to put down.

China is letting the yuan float now. It had been pegged to the USD for a long time. To me thats the beginning of the end. In the end its China looking out for itself, F the USA.

I've been able to work from home a lot lately, which works much better for me than going into the office. Maybe they're gearing up to let me go, maybe they just realize I really do work better when I dont have to commute and deal with an office environment. I dont really care as I'm so done with this civilization. I'm waiting for the right time to walk away from it. Thats still looking to be that day when theres no gas, no food, and the power goes out. Then I gonna head for the hills and leave behind the hedonistic suck fest that is bound to ensue.

The Daily Show was absent while they moved to a new set. Now theres new episodes again thank goodness. Keep boycotting Big Media and download EVERYTHING. mininova.org, thepiratebay.org, etc. Use them. When money is obsolete there will still be content, so lets get there sooner.
