BT and my Need for Speed .... being satisfied!

Downloaded the axxo dvdrip of "A History of Violence" in under 45minutes ... for a 700MB avi file with BT. That's pretty impressive compared to how long it usually takes to get a 700MB dvdrip over BT for me. Helps that it had around 900/900 seeds/peers at the time... http://www.mininova.org/tor/239046.

If the production team sees this blog post (which they wont unless through total fluke), kindly send me a self-stamped return envelope (write me for my mailing addy) with a legitimate address linked to the company in some way I will glady put some money in the envelope and send it to you (or alternativey make it just as easy for me to give you some money fully bypassing all of your distribution channel overhead and middlemen which I dont benefit from). In the neighborhood of 1 to 5 $CDN -- I'll decide what its worth to me after I watch it. And thanks again for making such content available!

UPDATE April 7: I've seen the film now. I'll definitely commit to $5CDN at its present 2006 value if the content creators ever find a way for me bypass their distributors.

Ok it clicked -- deflation THEN inflation

So I've been trying to figure out the plan for a while now. Its obvious that the USA debt needs to be wiped out and the solution to that is hyperinflation. But theres also an asset bubble happening with housing -- which you can't apply hyperinflation after you've just put a whole bunch of people into overvalued homes since they'll be able to pay off the loans real easy in that situation. So, and duuuh this should have clicked a long time ago, first you have to have a deflation. You need to dry up money supply (and jobs as a direct result) and take back the properties when people are made to not be able to pay for the loans. Then only after enough deflation can you begin the hyperinflation. So it all makes so much sense now, and with the M3 going away nobody should be any wiser. Given that the asset bubble _IS_ beginning to burst, its clear that a) easy credit is going away and visibly b) house prices are starting to go down. So I would wager that the deflation has in fact begun but nobody will really catch on for a while because of the interwoven economic dynamics of the situation and the bullshit numbers that are given for things like GDP, CPI, unemployment and other indicators.

Now cost of living is still going up because of increasing cost of oil to manufacture and transport all those chinese manufactured goods, but asset prices are going to go down with the money supply. Manufactured goods should stay somewhat the same price for a while as the value of dollars temporarily increases. I would guess that once the forclosure numbers get high enough the hyperinflation will begin and then thats the shit really hitting the fan.

Maybe I'm all wrong on all of this, but something makes me feel like I've got it.

Isaac Hayes, voice of Chef on Southpark, calling it quits.

Yeah he got all in a huff apparently because of the episode where they tear Scientology a new one. Lame. I hope they kill off the Chef character in that case, instead of simply re-voicing him. A "new" chef character that is a scientologist in the show would be funny. Heres a link to download that episode via bt. (Episode 912, Trapped in the Closet)

Up In Smoke Cafe and more Car Trouble

Two totally unrelated things but I dont want to make two separate posts right now!

So the Up in Smoke cannabis cafe in Hamilton had some cop troubles the other day. 3 people were arrested (or was it 4?) just for passing around a joint. The proprietor Chris Goodwin hasn't been released from jail yet at the time of this writing. Yesterday there was a sizable protest lead by hamilton region pot activists. I went down and brought some sign making materials and joined in for the hour or so I could stay away from work. Sucks that working for money gets in the way of things that actually matter. Ugh.

Also, later on in the day when I was picking up my daughter from daycare my exhaust system (ok the pipe that runs from the catalytic converter to the muffler) decided right then was a good time to start falling off the car hahahah. And I am soooo glad that it didnt choose to do so while I was on my way to or from Hamilton. If they can save the muffler (the connection to receive the pipe may be too rusted to save it) then it will probably cost me only $165 or so. Otherwise I'm probably looking around $250. Grumble. Oh well, first fix-er-up expense in a good while so I can't complain too much, and at least I was able to get it from dragging on the ground with a piece of old coat hanger (yes, hahaha) I had in the car so I could get home last night and then make my way over to the Stop-N-Go with it this morning.

The upside of all this is that my car was pretty much undrivable this morning until I got it to the shop meaning no morning daycare dropoff runaround by me. Yay.

Update: Yargh. They couldnt save the muffler it was too rusted. So total was CAD$255 and I have an all new post catalytic converter exhast system. Its shiny. Today.
